We return to Mary – the main character on our previous play Mary, Mary. This time entering Mary’s house as voyeurs of her daily life.
Mary is the image of social luxury and femininity but she also portraits an excess of womanhood. She does not have an identity, she does not exist other than a female “parody”.
The play explores not only sexual issues of a gender conflict but mainly issues of identity and personal freedom.
The play premiered on April 25, 2008, at Centro Cultural da Malaposta (Lisbon, Portugal) and was adapted for the International Street Arts Festival (FIAR – Festival Internacional de Artes de Rua), as a street installation performance.
